Aftermarket mechanical seal face components for selected Grundfos Sarlin applications
Luwint GFS supplies replacement rotary seal faces and stationary seal faces for selected Grundfos Sarlin pumps. These components are intended for seal refurbishment where the existing assembly is suitable for reuse following inspection.
The GFS supply scope is the sealing faces only. Complete mechanical seal assemblies, springs, carriers, sleeves and elastomer components are not included.
Correct selection requires identification of the pump, the upper or lower seal position, and the dimensions and mounting details of each face.

Choosing the Correct Components
Identify the upper and lower seal positions separately. Components from different positions should not be assumed interchangeable, even where shaft diameters are the same.

Photograph the front, rear and side of each removed face. Where possible, include photographs showing how the faces fit into the existing assembly.
A face that matches the shaft size may still have a different thickness, mounting profile or sealing track. These details must be checked before fitting replacement components.

Face Materials and Refurbishment

The two faces must form a compatible sealing pair. Before refurbishment, inspect the remaining assembly for wear, corrosion, distortion and damage, including the carriers, springs, sleeves and elastomer components.
Face replacement alone will not correct defects elsewhere in the seal assembly. Operating limits depend on the complete rebuilt assembly, its materials and the service conditions.
