Luwint offers metric and imperial stationary seats for matching with compatible mechanical seal rotary assemblies. The range includes different mounting profiles, outside diameters and axial lengths to suit existing pump housings.
The stationary seat forms the mating surface against which the rotating seal face operates. Selecting the correct seat requires a dimensional and material match with both the rotary assembly and the housing.

Metric and imperial options: support replacement work across different pump designs.
Multiple mounting profiles: choose from the O-ring and cup-mounted arrangements illustrated in the catalogue.
Different axial lengths: match the original seating position and complete seal working length.
Help with identification: compare the old seat, housing and rotary seal before ordering.
| Range | Catalogue seat references | Nominal sizes covered |
|---|---|---|
| Metric | G4, G6 / G60, BO, BP, G9 and G16 | Selected sizes from 10 to 100 mm |
| Imperial | CU, OG, CE and W | Selected sizes from ⅜″ to 4″ |
Not every seat style is listed at every nominal size. Confirm the required configuration and current availability.
The imperial table identifies nominal size D1 in inches. Its outside-diameter and axial dimensions are presented as metric values; retain the original units when comparing a replacement.
A matching nominal shaft size does not establish seat compatibility. Check:
Housing bore and depth: match the seat’s mounting envelope and seating position.
Seat profile: confirm the O-ring or elastomer-cup arrangement.
Axial dimension: use the length associated with the selected seat style.
Face geometry: confirm that the stationary face matches the rotating face.
Location features: check any anti-rotation pin, slot or other locating detail on the original assembly.
Materials: match both the pumped liquid and the opposing seal face.
For example, the metric catalogue lists several axial dimensions at a nominal 25 mm size:
| Seat style | Catalogue axial dimension |
|---|---|
| G6 / G60 | L1 = 7.5 mm |
| BO / BP | L2 / L3 = 13.0 mm |
| G9 | L4 = 11.5 mm |
| G16 | L5 = 7.0 mm |
| G4 | L6 = 7.5 mm |
These dimensions refer to the illustrated profiles. Equal axial lengths do not make two seat styles interchangeable; outside diameter and mounting geometry must also match.
Changing the stationary-seat profile can alter the position of the sealing face and the rotary assembly’s working compression. Check the complete seal installation before substituting another style.
Specify the required stationary-seat material together with the rotary-face material. Also identify the O-ring or cup material where applicable.
Selection should account for the liquid, temperature, pressure, shaft speed, solids content and cleaning conditions. Pressure and temperature limits belong to the complete seal configuration; a seat reference alone does not establish an operating rating.
With a verified dimensional and material match, these seats can be selected for mechanical seal maintenance in:
Water-transfer and circulation pumps
Agricultural and irrigation equipment
Building-services and industrial utility pumps
Compatible process and wastewater pumping equipment
Provide the pump model and existing seal reference when available. Seat codes help identify a configuration but do not establish compatibility with every seal from a particular manufacturer.

Send clear photographs of the seat’s sealing face, rear profile and mounting arrangement. Include the nominal shaft size, seat inside and outside diameters, axial thickness, housing bore and depth, and details of the rotary seal.
Ask for the full stationary-seat dimensional chart and help matching the complete assembly.
