Single cartridge sealing for industrial process pumps
The Luwint MX2 is a single cartridge mechanical seal that combines the sleeve, gland and sealing components in one assembly. It is an option for pump maintenance and replacement work where a single sealing interface is suitable for the liquid and operating conditions.
Cartridge construction reduces the number of individual components that must be handled and positioned during installation. The MX2 also has a shorter axial arrangement than the corresponding MX2D double cartridge and MX2Q cooling version, making installation space an important part of selection.

Selecting the Correct Cartridge
A matching shaft diameter is only the starting point. Check the seal-chamber bore and depth, gland mounting dimensions, available shaft length and clearance around the drive collar.
For the listed metric sizes from 24 to 70 mm, catalogue dimensions L1 and L2 are 19 mm and 38 mm. For 75 to 100 mm sizes, they are 20.5 mm and 41.5 mm. Refer to the dimensional drawing for the meaning of each measurement and the complete mounting envelope.
Follow the supplied installation instructions for positioning, fastening and releasing any setting devices before operation.
